触头性能：为提高触头工作的可靠性，对触头材料的基本要求是：

1、触头材料的电导率与热导率要高，以降低触头通过电流时的热损耗，减轻触头表面的氧化；

2、触头材料的熔化温度与沸点高、熔化与蒸发潜热高，以减少在电弧或火花作用下触头的磨损量和不易使触头发生熔焊；

3、触头材料对周围环境的化学性能要稳定，触头受环境污染后接触电阻的变化小，接触电阻稳定；4、触头材料的硬度与弹性要适当，硬度太大时，接触的面积小，弹性较大的材料在触头闭合时，由于触头间的弹跳使磨损加大；

5、触头材料易于加工和焊接；

6、触头材料的价格要低。对强电用触头材料，重要的要求是：

①具有低的接触电阻，防止通过额定电流时过热；

②电磨损率和机械磨损率小，具有较长的使用寿命；

③抗熔焊性能好,在故障情况下能顺利分断电路；

④剩余电流小,灭弧能力强，分断大电流时能迅速灭弧，而且不会引起电弧重燃或持续电流。对弱电用触头材料，要求：

①低而稳定的接触电阻和小的电磨损率，较长的使用寿命；

②具有较高的最小起弧电压和最小起弧电流，使触头尽可能在无电弧情况下操作；

③这种触头闭合力小，故机械磨损不是重要问题。对直流触头，要求在直流操作条件下，从触头的一方到对方的材料转移要小。

6, contact material is easy to processing and welding;

7, contact materials prices lower. For high-voltage electrical contact materials, the important requirement is:

(1) with a low contact resistance, prevent through rated current overheating;

(2) electrical and mechanical wear rate of wear rate is small, has a long service life;

(3) good welding performance, resistance to breaking circuit smoothly under the failure condition;

(4) small residual current, arcing ability is strong, can quickly when breaking large current arcing, and wont cause arc reigniting or constant current. For weak current contactor material, requirements:

(1) low and stable contact resistance and small electrical wear rate and long service life;

(2) has higher minimum arcing voltage and minimum arc current, make contact as soon as possible under the condition of no arc operation;

(3) the contact closing force is small, so the mechanical wear and tear is not important problem. Requirements for dc contactor, under the condition of the dc operation, from the contact of one party to the other side of the material transfer.
