來寶10是一種具揮發性的溶劑，能把水份迅速驅替，揮發後不留痕跡。最適用來驅除物件表面的水份，能迅速地把水份分離排除，最理想用於不能加熱烘乾的物件，可用於電鍍前處理或光學透鏡，亦可作為臨時防銹劑使用。工件最好是浸沒於液體中進行搖晃，若實際情況不容許的話，可噴涂、手掃或滾掃於工件上。
