Cambridge Technology Pen Motors are particularly well-suited to low power instrumentation such as battery-powered medical instruments, low cost applications such as strip-chart recorders, and other direct writing applications such as blood pressure monitors and similar instruments.
Models GV751 and GVM734
These models are velocity feedback, moving-iron galvanometers that feature extra velocity-sense coil winding. Output voltage flows through a velocity-servo loop to provide the damping function, yielding substantial improvements in frequency and step response.
Model GV751 provides optimum frequency response, low power consumption, and AHA performance that are especially suitable in battery-powered and portable instruments.
Model GVM734 features the lowest power consumption of any 40mm chart-width 100 Hz galvanometer for strip-chart recording devices and is ideal for use in portable, battery-operated defibrillators. (NOTE: Model GVM734 is a shorter version of Model GV751.)
Model GM734
A conventional, open loop moving-iron galvanometer that’s ideal for low-power, low-cost applications, the GM734 features a 120 Hz natural frequency and a g· cm torque. It’s designed for strip-chart recorders used in electrophoresis, chromatography, and spectroscopy. (NOTE: Model GM734 is the shorter version of model GM739.)
Model G739
The G739 is a higher frequency range open loop device suitable for most general direct-writing applications. When used in ECG, blood pressure monitors, and similar instruments, the G739’s performance exceeds AHA specifications for 50 mm chart-width, edge-writing recorders and their rectilinear linkage equivalents.
