521 - ==UNIQUE LANDSCAPES== <-- ULs and patches This group is almost install order independent, but since they add LOD files to kind of make the distant landscape match the altered world, some texture replacers and other visual enhancements overlap with these mods. Those conflicts (as with most data file conflicts) do not matter. Having the right NIF files is nicer, but few mods overwrite NIFs for distant land (Distant Land MAX being an exception, which also happens to provide patches.) The UL ReadMe states that the install order of a couple of these does matter, but it happens to work out alphabetically, and there are patches available for the more "serious" conflicts (the NIF overlaps.) >> note: This is the first group of visual enhancers, which defines nearly all of the rest of the mods in this list, in part at least...
553 - ==CITY & WORLD AESTHETICS== <-- BC, weather mods, etc. The install order of this group only matter in so far as texture replacers that replace sky textures need to be loaded after the weather mods in this group; although, many of the mods in this group use new, unique files, making some weather texture replacers useless, unless the file paths are changed to match the specific weather mod that is in use. Therefor, within this group, install order does not matter much. However, many of these mods provide patches on the plugin side of things, so this group is more simply installed after the things it patches: UL mods, quests, new item mods, etc.
617 - ==USER INTERFACE== <-- DarkUI, hotkey mods, leveling mods These mods are definitely install order dependent within; not so much without, since the files tend to not overlap with those of other mods, whether or not they are replacers. The main UI replacer needs to be installed first, customizations installed afterward. Customizations include any mods that alter menus (i.e., leveling mods, HUD-customizing mods, hotkey mods, etc.) Check the ReadMes to make sure everything is compatible. Incorrect UI installations are prone to causing crashes, hangups and seriously hindering functionality in menus. Remember, the user interface includes everything from the HUD, to the main menu screen to the dialog options when conversing with NPCs.
