In order to better serve customers, Cleveland Gear offers a full line of modular and custom helical enclosed drives.



 Custom Enclosed Parallel Axis Gear Drives
  • 10 - 10,000 Horsepower
  • 50,000 - 2,000,000 in-lbs. output torque
  • Ratios 1:1 - 600:1
  • Single reduction through quadruple reduction
  • Helical or Bevel Helical configurations available
  • Through hardened or case hardened/ground gearing
  • Heavy duty fabricated steel housings
  • Single/Multiple speed designs  

Modular Gearbox       
  • 4 Types: single, double, triple and quadruple reduction. 19 Sizes in each type
  • Power range from 5 to 6000 hp. Output torque up to 4,200,000 in-lbs. Ratio range from 1.25:1 to 710:1
  • Shafts are generoulsy proportioned and mounted in long life roller bearings.
  • Housing are grey cast iron or nodular iron with fabricated steel available as an option
  • Lip seals are standard. Dual seals, labrynth seals, and grease (taconite) seals are available.

  • Full range of accesories available: back stops, torque arm mounting, motor brackets, and lubrication system controls.
