Properties and Applications
HIPS MA5210 manufactured by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP is of good moldability and good mold release property, which are recommended to produce high impact, hardness and high gloss appearance parts especially for molding of TV, air conditioner, refrigerator, computer, house and office wares.
FDA Compliance
Polystyrene resins manufactured by Chevron Philips Chemical Company LP natural complies with Food Additive Regulation of FDA 21CFR177.1640 for polystyrene and rubber modified polystyrene, which states that such materials may be safely used in contact with food.
UL Recognition
Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. has tested and recognized the polystyrene resins for applications in electronic industries.
Safety and Handling Consideration
All polystyrene resins manufactured by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP have very low degree of toxicity. When used under normal conditions, these resins should cause no unusual problems from eyes and skin contact, inhalation or ingestion.
