H型钢种类是比较多样的,如HN456x216x16x19,代表腰高456mm,厚16mm,翼缘宽216mm,厚度19mm,但是这只是理论的数值,与实际数据会有些许偏差,亦称为下差。H型钢按照其翼缘的窄、中、宽辨别,分别用HW、HM、HN加上腹板尺寸和翼缘尺寸来表示。H型钢能够使建筑结构重量降低35%左右;又因其腿部内外侧呈平行状,腿端部呈直角,拼装组合成构件效率很高,可节约焊接,铆接工作量达20%左右。常用于要求承载能力大,截面稳定性能好的大型桥梁、建筑等。

There are many kinds of H-section steel, such as hn456x216x16x19, which represents waist height of 456MM, thickness of 16mm, flange width of 216mm and thickness of 19mm, but this is only the theoretical value, and there will be some deviation with the actual data, also known as the bottom difference. H-section steel is distinguished according to its flange's narrow, medium and wide, which are respectively represented by HW, HM and HN plus web size and flange size.
