由于分子中含有活泼的Si-H键,故能参与多种化学反应,具有良好的成膜性能;
它在碱或路易士酸等物质存在下,能与HO或R-OH作用,放出H2;
在铂铬合物存在下极易与烯类化合物发生反应;
当T﹥50℃时,可与含环氧基团的化合物反应;
其耐热性不如二甲基硅油,但其憎水防潮和防粘等性能却比二甲基硅油好;
在金属盐类触媒作用下,可在低温下交联即能在各种物质表面形成憎水膜。
