精工铸铜鼎

鼎被视为传国重器、国家和权的象征，“鼎”字也被赋予“显赫”、“ 尊贵”、“盛大”等引申意义，如：一言九鼎、大名鼎鼎、鼎盛时期、鼎力相助，等等。鼎又是旌功记绩的礼器。周代的国君或王公大臣在重大庆典或接受赏赐时都要铸鼎，黄铜铸铜鼎，以记载盛况。这种礼俗至今仍然有一定影响。为庆贺联合国50华诞，中华人民共和国于1995年10月21日在联合国总部，向联合国赠送一尊青铜巨鼎——世纪宝鼎。西藏和平解放50周年庆典之际，中央政府向西藏自治区赠送“民族团结宝鼎”，矗立于拉萨人民会堂广场，象征民族团结和西藏各项事业鼎盛发展。此举意义深远，文化内涵丰厚。

This action has profound significance and rich cultural connotation.
